3. Theme : JAMe*
* JAMe(jaemi) is a Korean word, which means pleasure, amusement,enjoyment, fun and interest.
What is fun? Pleasure? Amusement? Enjoyment?
In Korea, we traditionally refer to all of these things that make life more interesting as 'JAMe[jaemi]'. And, in this age when technology has transformed so much of how we live, JAMe[jaemi] too is changing! Thatユs the idea behind the Inje University Digital Interaction Design institute
upcoming JAMe interaction design competition. One of the most exciting aspects of digital interaction as a form of communication is its potential to be so complex and yet at the same time, to be so personalized for each person who experiences it-just like JAMe[jaemi]!
The digital Interaction Design institute welcomes all interested parties to participate in the JAMe competition as an opportunity for to explore the limitless possibilities for digital interaction and JAMe[jaemi] to
shape and change each other. Itユs happening all around us, so we want to provide a place where the exploration can examined in various contexts:
discussions, debates, work, collaboration, ideation, and anything else.
All on-line. All free. And all together!
We hope to see what you have in your mind and your ideas about what JAMeis!
4. Official language
The official language of the competition is English. Korean can be used partially in the writing, if necessary.
5. Entry requirements
This competition is open to any individuals who are interested in interaction design. There is no restriction
regarding age, gender, academic background, and nationality. All registered members in injecompe can apply.
A group of maximum two members can apply, but only one person from the group should register as a representative.
6. Allowable number of submissions:
Any number of works can be submitted by each applicant or group.
7. Entry fee: There is no entry fee required with the application.
8. Schedule for the competition:
Visit our homepage and register, upload your entry on our homepage during the scheduled time.
*Deadline
Registration: Applicants can register at any time during the competition.
Submission: All submissions must be uploaded no later than 00:00 a.m.
Greenwich Standard Time, January 31, 2003.
9. How to submit your entry
1) Register on our homepage to enter the competition.
Visit our homepage and fill out our registration form. After registration, a "registration number" will be sent to your e-mail address and you get the right to submit your entry and the right to vote in pre-screening stage.
The registration number will be used on log-in, submitting an entry, and voting, so don´t forget to check your e-mail after registration.
2) Complete an entry following our submission requirements and upload it on our homepage before the deadline.
3) After pre-screening, applicants whose entries are passed through need to fill out additional personal data as a challenger for the final screening. The list of the challengers will be up on our homepage and we will notify each challenger by e-mail.
10. Category:
The submission category encompasses the entire range of design fields including product design, graphic design, multimedia design, film or flash design, animation, interior design and etc. The most important point is that submissions are required to have interaction and JAMe in
design.

Please note: Only original unpublished works will compete. All entries should not have any copyright infringements.
11. Submission Requirements
For entries to be complete and correct they must contain the following:
1) The Title of the Work
2) Thumbnail image: Size: 100*75 pixel
Choose the scene from your work that tells your concept the best.
3) A typewritten description of no more than 128 letters
4) Original File: File type (the format of your data.): jpg, swf Maximum size of the file: 1Mb. (The file must be less than 1MB in size.)
*Uploading entries in formats and size other than the listed formats and size above will not be accessible to submit.

12.Copyright:
Applicants retain all copyright and the organizer (Injecompe) retains the rights to publish and exhibit all entries. Applicants should take full responsibility for any copyright infringement. We recommend you to register your work for protecting its copyright.
13. Judging:
1) Judging Criteria
Creativity + Cheerful Solution
Entries will be judged on creativity and how well youユve given us cheerful solution to the theme.
2) Pre-screening
We call this stage as '10days of Challenging'
This stage runs by injecompe memberユs on-line voting.
Injecompe members are asked to be judges and have the right to cast their vote. All voters have ten votes and they can vote for one entry a day. After ten days of on-line voting, total of 100 entries will be selected to go on for the final screening.
3) Final screening
We call this stage as 'Jam Tasting'.
This stage runs by two types of judging panels.
* Applicant judges for the challengerユs choice
: 100 Challengers (applicants whose entries are passed through the pre-screening.)
* Panel judges for the honorユs choice
: Tasters (judges comprised of design professorials and academic researchers.)
These two panels will select 10 entries each through discussion and on-line voting.
14. Tasters(judges) : The judging panel comprises of
- Tae-il Lee (professor, Inje University), Korea
- Marty Plumbo (professor, Cincinatti Univ.), USA
- Moon-Gyu Choi (president, Earlyadoptor.com), Korea
More design professianls will be added to the judging panel.
15. Awards: Winners will be given cash prizes.
- challengers´ choice .......... 10 entries US$ 200
- honorユs choice ........... 10 entries US$ 400
If selected in both choices, you will receive both cash prizes total of $600 all in your hand.
- For the challengers whose entries fail to be selected in the Final Screening,injecompe is provided with free gifts. The awards ceremony will be held on-line.
- Injecompe provides with a certificate approved by the president of Inje University, if need arise.

16. Exhibition:
The awarded work will be showcased on the website that you can click on to have a look at any time.
